Passion. Enthusiasm. Authenticity.

I was 13 years old when I borrowed my first romance novel from the public library.

I spent a great many lunch breaks hiding in the bathroom, devouring the stories and characters within its pages; thus began a decade of hiding my interest in sex and my own sexuality.

Once I began my work with teens and young adults, I discovered that feeling shame about our bodies and our sexual selves is nearly universal and deeply internalized. To help break this trend, I began encouraging both teens and adults to engage in honest conversation about sexuality and the role it plays in our daily lives. I create environments where people can feel comfortable expressing discomfort; my hope, is to get people openly asking the questions that would usually be reserved for slumber parties or the internet.

I am dedicated to perpetuating healthy and positive messages about sexuality and self-worth. For nearly a decade, I have been teaching groups of all ages and from a variety of backgrounds. I’ve designed and implemented programs on leadership, Jewish education, sexuality education, and personal development, intended for audiences ranging from teens to adults.

I received my M.A. in Maternal and Child Health from the University of Minnesota’s School of Public Health, my B.A. in History, and B.A. in Global Studies from the University of Minnesota. I currently live in Sacramento with my husband, ball python, two cats, and many plants!
